iPad thoughts anyone ?

Confirmed: iPhone OS 3.2 has support for video calling, file downloads, and SMS

See the article about video conferencing. It seems to suggest that apple didn't give us full disclosure this last Wednesday. All the rush and hype associated in trying to get product on the shelf has led many people to ask what the purpose of the iPad really is.  Its clearly not a laptop or a phone. Not a music player? What then ?  What I can say is that having video calling in a device like this would clearly give it a purpose. 

Music Apps

Slacker Radio - Free, genre based streaming radio. Works well on 3G network. Have not tried it on the road but works well when stationary. Great sound, lots of genres to choose from. 4 stars!

Simplify Music2 – Stream your iTunes library to your iPhone. WOW how nice is this, well Ive not had good luck out in rural areas mainly away from 3G coverage. On edge network it sounds like an old AM crystal radio. But if youve got a good signal it works great. Allows access to your home iTunes library, including playlists, artists, everything!   4 stars

Remote – A must remote control over WIFI for your iTV or iTunes library. I use this for complete control over my  iTunes library. Simply plug your PC audio into your home stereo and viola!  I'll give this one 6 stars!!
